Remember my little joke in the first post..ya know the one when i said "Hey 1960 called and wants their house back". Yeah.. i wasn't kidding. Let's have a look shall we?


                                               Rust shaggy rug, and dark dark drabby paneling everywhere...

Hello orange entrance-way!! and brown paneling cabinets.

Strange back splash around toilet and sink

A nice whole in the luan wall with weird floral print.

These are the lovely colors i found under the wall paper i scrapped..

And this is the carpet that is in that room.. lovely isn't it?

This room was ..somewhat normal! Horray!!

Please don't judge.. we really are not this messy but this was moving day and there was crap everywhere!!

So anyway, as you can see this house has seen absolutely no updating since approximately 1960, which is fine since i have a creative mind. I had visions LOL lots of visions, some of which changed daily.

Then this happened..we ripped out that nasty carpet ASAP..but all that black stuff you see.. yep you guessed it MOLD. 

Which then caused this to happen.. Which is totally fine seeing as the above window did not even open. 

Then we had a lot of drywall mud, and a lot of sanding..some paneling just couldn't be salvaged(bummer)

So much brighter already!!

Sometimes you have to think within your budget. For us, it was easier to paint over the existing paneling than to re-drywall every wall. What do you think?

This seemed like a catchy title of my first blog post, since i have no idea what the heck I'm doing! I've always admired other blogs, until i started doing so many projects on my own i decided maybe i should give this blogging thing a whirl or two. 

Now to the fun part..

 1. My name is Adrienne and i have a small addiction to thrift stores, second hand ANYTHING, yard sales, antiques, etc. 

2. I have been called a hoarder a time or two..

3. Recently me and my fiance bought our first tiny house, on 5.5 acres in ski country. Needless to say we've had many interesting adventures thus far.. which you can read about here!

4. Hey 1960 called they want their house back..no seriously... Pictures to come soon. 

5. I often get crazy visions of some sort of demo project (thanks a lot pinterest!!) and everyone looks at me like i'm from another planet. You can also read about my questionable sanity here.  

Most important, i hope this blog give inspiration to others who are looking for ways to renovate their homes on budget, or maybe you also have crazy visions of projects and we can share crazy ideas together! KIDDING ..maybe.. what kind of ideas do you have?
